KCAC Meeting Minutes March 8th

Homework: (10 min)
Jeremy- work on newsletter/welcome packet.
Jeremy and Bev- make a flier. [x]
Fiona- work on the powerpoint presentation.
Deadline for the last band to confirm is tonight! Please post under last week’s thread “Bands Contacted”, so we can all make fliers. [x]
Terrance- talk to roommate about using the video camera. [x]
Liam- find out if your brother can video/photograph the event. [x]
Jess- organize who makes what for the bake sale. [x]

Discussion Items

Benefit Show (15-25 min)
6 band show- all day, starts at 4. $5 for whole show.
KCAC Volunteers be at Peace Center at 3pm.
3 Tables and 4-5 chairs needed.
Stamps, sharpies needed.
Q/A and Presentation 15-20 minutes.

Great community resource with various events coming up to help us become a better non-profit.

Kavan Geary Meeting:
Dan met with Kavan about monthly rate.  We now have a set monthly rate on the building including utilities and insurance.  Dan is meeting with an insurance agent later this week to see if we need any further insurance.

Proposal Items:
None.

Tabled Discussion:
Raffle is postponed until further notice.

Review responsibilities:
Jeremy- finish newsletter/welcome packet.
Jeremy will also find about selling Nantucket Nectars.
Fiona will finish powerpoint presentation.
Fiona will make sure we have list of rules from Peace Center.
Fiona will find chairs.
Fiona will put out box of fliers for everyone to pick up at 113 Dutton.
Natasha make chocolate chip cookies for bake sale at benefit show.
Natasha will send out press release to WIDR. widr.events@gmail.com
Terrance and Natasha will go to Grant Seeking workshop on March 10 at Central Library.
Jess will get thankyou cards and stamps for bands.
EVERYONE flier for the show.
April will call sean about giving us a shoutout on WIDR
Jess will talk to DJ about giving us a shoutout on WIDR
Jeremy will talk to WIDR about KCAC plugs.

Meeting and facilitation evaluation:
Great job with facilitation, Terrance!
Work on staying on topic.
Location change was handled well.
New members felt almost immediately up to speed.
Meeting notes are improving.
